From a humble rental, to camping out in a tent... Let There Be a HOME!
The Past
Ever since we opened our doors three years ago, our home has been open for students at all hours of the day - and night. Let’s just say that it went from cozy to cramped pretty quickly!
The Present
We knew we had to get creative. So we set up a tent on our front lawn, and began hosting most of our events from there. But we've outgrown that too! And let’s be real: even with a top of the line heater, a tent doesn’t stand a chance against Ithaca winters. Chabad needs a real home!
The Future
After two years of scouring the market, we’ve found the one! It feels like it was made for the students: it’s right around the corner from campus, has a spacious common area with a beautiful, high ceiling, and room to grow. We have dreams for a student lounge, a library, a guest suite and so much more. Thanks to the generosity of a core group of donors, we’re already two-thirds of the way there. Now we need YOU to bring this project home!!
At Chabad, students should feel that there’s a chair waiting just for them.
