At Chabad you will find a non-judgmental atmosphere, where being Jewish is relevant, alive and exciting. We are a place where all Jewish students can feel welcome and at home,  regardless of affiliation or observance.

We invite you to participate in our programs, join us in our home for a Friday night Shabbat dinner, or just stop by to hang out.

Come as you are! Looking forward to meeting you!

Rabbi Raffy & Chana Filler (and little Shalom)

Chabad at IC is dedicated to supporting the spirit and growth of Jewish life at Ithaca College. We seek to imbue a sense of Jewish identity and belonging by creating a warm and inclusive environment. We engage students at their own pace and comfort level through innovative, educational programs in all areas of Jewish life. We strive to assist every Jew connected to this campus in exploring their Judaism, each at their own pace and comfort level. We want to ensure that all Jewish students graduate as stronger, more empowered Jews, creating a powerful generation of Jewish leaders.

A home away from home where all are welcome, no matter the affiliation.
A space where students socialize in a comfortable home-like setting with great friends, amazing food and stimulating discussions.

A haven to run to when you're stressed or lonely and need a listening ear.
A forum where you can question your faith and not be afraid of judgment.

A place filled with inspiration, guidance and learning.
An opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of your Jewish heritage.
An educational center providing texts and teachers for those who seek to learn.
An environment where being Jewish is fun and inviting.

Chabad at IC is a branch of an organization that has gained national prominence as one of the fastest growing and most vibrant, innovative and all-inclusive organizations for Jewish college students in this country.

In the early 1950s, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi  Menachem M. Schneerson, began sending rabbinical graduates to campuses to serve as a resource for students. In 1969,  Chabad launched its first campus center at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). Since then, Chabad campus centers have opened their doors to every Jewish student regardless of background or level of observance. Chabad's programming reflects a tolerant, non-judgmental environment, where open dialogue is welcome and is a hallmark of Chabad's inclusiveness.

Today, Chabad Jewish student centers can be found on over 260 campuses worldwide, serving the campuses with Jewish social and educational resources. Chabad hosts national Shabbat retreats attended by hundreds of students from colleges around the nation.
